Recommendations to score

Each item is associated with a seven-point scale in which a rating of 7 represents the best possible function and a rating of 1 the worst possible function. To produce a summary score for each of the five domains, we add up the patient’s ratings on each item and then divide by the number of items in the domain, yielding a score of 1 to 7.
