DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTRUMENT
Type Of Measure Questionnaire
Brief Description

The PWQ is a self-reported questionnaire for assessing physical workload. The questionnaire consists of 26 items assessing force, dynamic and static load, repetitive load, (uncomfortable) postures, sitting, standing, and walking.

Number of Items 26
Range 0-100
Responses options/scale Yes
0-3
Developed for Both
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Method of administration Self-administered
Recommendations to score

Each item is scored on a 4-point Likert scale with the response options: “seldom or never” (0), “sometimes” (1), “often” (2), and “(almost) always” (3).

Scoring is conducted by adding up the responses to each item to produce a raw score. The final scores are calculated by dividing the raw score by the maximum possible score on the subscale, multiplied by 100, resulting in a final score ranging between 0 (no workload) and 100 (highest workload) for each subscale

Score Interpretation Higher scores indicate higher workload
