| Brief Description |
GAQ has 5 different subscales: 3 for collecting clinical, background, and economic data, and one for assessing gout-related quality of life of patients. The latter is known as Gout Impact Scale (GIS) and is the one whose clinimetric properties has been evaluated in the studies referenced above. There are 24 items in the GIS portion of the GAQ, which are summated to form 5 scales. There are different number of items for the subscales: gout concern overall (4), gout medication side effects (2), unmet gout treatment need (3), well-being during attack (11), gout concern during attack (4) |
