LOKS-19 questions were able to tackle all aspects of osteoporosis (facts and treatment of osteoporosis, exercise and physical activity, lifestyle habits and osteoporosis, prevention of osteoporosis, causes of osteoporosis, gender, race and osteoporosis, and factors protecting against osteoporosis). These features make our scale more thorough than the previous validated scales.

Brief Description

LOKS-19 scale items converged over a solution of seven factors that had an Eigenvalue over 1, explaining a total of 55.89% of the variance. A Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure of sampling adequacy of 0.691 was found, with a significant Bartlett’s test of sphericity (p < 0.001). 
A confirmatory factor analysis was run on sample 2, using the structure obtained in sample 1. Results have shown that the maximum likelihood chi-square = 25.59 and degrees of freedom = 9, which gave an χ2 /df = 2.84. For non-centrality fit indices, the Steiger-Lind RMSEA was 0.08 [0.040–0.101]. Finally, the Joreskog GFI equaled 0.966 and AGFI equaled 0.977
