Brief Description

The SFI is a is a single page 25-item questionnaire that aims to assess the spine from cervical to lumbar as a single kinetic chain, in reference to the patient’s functional status ‘over the last few days’. The SFI was developed as part of suite of 3 PROMs that include the upper (ULFI) and lower limb functional index (LLFI) would cover the entire musculoskeletal system with a common singular scoring PROM.

The scores from the 25 items are added, this score is then multiplied by four and subtracted from 100 to generate a 0-100% score. Up to two missing responses are permitted.
