DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTRUMENT
Type Of Measure Questionnaire
Brief Description

The Self-Reported Foot and Ankle Score (SEFAS) is a foot- and ankle-specific questionnaire that has been validated with good results for a variety of foot and ankle disorders. The questionnaire covers different constructs, which are not reported separately in subscales. The most important of these constructs are pain, function, and limitation of function.

Number of Items The questionnaire contains 12 items with 5 response options.
Range 0-48
Responses options/scale Yes
0-4
Developed for ---
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Method of administration Self-administered
Recommendations to score

Each of the 12 multiple-choice questions scores from 0 to 4 need to be added to get a total score

Score Interpretation Higher scores indicate better function. A sum of 0 points represents the most severe disability and 48 represents normal function.
Cut-off points ---
Cut-off points applied to ---
Smallest detectable change if described MIC for SEFAS was 5 score points (IQR: 2–8)
