DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTRUMENT
Type Of Measure Questionnaire
Brief Description

The OsteoArthritis Quality Indicator questionnaire is the first validated instrument to measure patient‐reported quality indicator pass rates for osteoarthritis (OA) care.  It was revised in 2015 following feedback from researchers and patient participants (OA-QI v2).

Number of Items 17 for the original version, 16 for the OA-QI v2.
Range 0-100
Responses options/scale Yes
Yes/No/Not severely troubled
Developed for ---
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Method of administration Self-administered
Recommendations to score

Achievement of the QI items (i.e., pass rates) is calculated (in percentage) as the total number of items achieved divided by the number of eligible items for each participant.  An individual pass rate of 100 means that the participant had checked ‘Yes’ to all eligible items, whereas a pass rate of 0 implies that the participant had checked ‘No’ to all eligible items.

Score Interpretation 100 representing the best quality of care score.
