| Brief Description |
In the factor extraction of the SWE-RES-23, a five factor model was found to be the most appropriate, as opposed to a four-factor model, which had been found to be the most appropriate in the SWEDES-23 (Swedish version of the Diabetes Empowerment Scale, in which the SEWRES-23 was based). The factor models of the SWE-RES-23 resulted in Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin scores of 0.895 and Bartlett’s spericity test was significant at p< 0.001. The five factors explained 64.1% of the total variance and the four factors 59.1% of the total variance. All five factors and four factors, respectively, had eigenvalues> 1. |
